Job summary

Trillium Staffing seeks a Journeyman Electrician for a 100 MW power plant project in Rapid City, SD. Two shifts are available: days 6:00–4:30 and nights 6:00–4:30, Monday through Saturday, 10 hours each day. Responsible for reading blueprints and installing rigid conduit and cable trays, along with wiring tasks.

Experience with industrial wiring and adherence to safety protocols is required. SD license or reciprocal from listed states is preferred.

Job description

Trillium is looking for Journeyman Electrician for a Power Plant project in Rapid City, SD.

This is a 100 MW power plant that has around 10-20,000 sq foot of piping and conduit to be installed. Will need to be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics, and other written diagrams. Will need to be proficient in bending/installing rigid conduit and industrial cable trays, pulling wire. Work is scheduled to continue through the end of the year and could trickle into early 2027.

There are two shifts available for days and nights. Day shift is 6 AM - 4:30 PM and night shift is 6PM - 4:30 AM. All shifts will work Monday-Saturday, 10 hours each day. Pay rate is $43-57 on day shift and $45-59 on night shift. Per diem is $125/day all 7 days, as long as candidates work all scheduled days.

• South Dakota Licensed or can reciprocate from a state to SD (AK, AR, CO, ID, MT, NH, NM, OK, TX, UT) is preferred.


• Candidates must have prior experience with rigid conduit installation and have past industrial work exp.


• Candidates must comply with all safety regulations, will be asked to test and repair all electrical equipment.


• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens - Must have all basic hand tools for the job


• Candidates must wear all required PPE for the job


• Must have reliable transportation to and from the site


• Be willing to work long hours in the elements, standing/sitting/crouching, etc.
