Job summary

Ski Santa Fe is seeking an Experienced Lift Electrician to join our year-round mountain operations team. This full-time position offers competitive pay (up to $55/hour BOE) and excellent benefits. Located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, our base lodge sits at 10,350 ft, with a summit elevation of 12,075 ft.

Work takes place indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. The Electrician supports daily operations by maintaining, installing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of lift electrician experience.
• Strong low-voltage background (controls, sensors, communications).
• Solid understanding of high-voltage systems.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather, heights.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components across the ski area.
• Maintain lift systems, facilities, lighting, snowmaking equipment, and infrastructure.
• Perform low-voltage work including controls, communications, and system wiring.
• Support high-voltage maintenance under team direction.
• Collaborate with Mountain Operations and Maintenance teams.

Position Overview

The Electrician supports daily operations by maintaining, installing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems throughout the ski area. Candidates should have 5+ years’ experience as a lift electrician. The ideal candidate will have lift electric maintenance and troubleshooting as well as knowledge of snowmaking power distribution and drive systems, meaning both strong low-voltage experience and a solid understanding of high-voltage systems. An electrical license is not required but preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshooting, and repair electrical systems and components across the ski area
• Maintain lift systems, facilities, lighting, snowmaking equipment, and infrastructure
• Perform low-voltage work including controls, communications, and system wiring
• Support high-voltage maintenance under team direction
• Collaborate closely with the Mountain Operations and Maintenance teams
