Job summary
Shaw Industries in Georgia is seeking a Reliability Electrician V on the 1st shift to lead expert-level electrical maintenance, automation, and controls for our highly automated manufacturing line. You will mentor Reliability Electricians II–IV, champion safety, and drive continuous improvement while troubleshooting PLCs, robotics, motion control, and SCADA systems.
This role demands strong diagnostics, documentation, and collaboration with maintenance and plant leadership to maximize equipment
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in electrical manufacturing
- Extensive automation, robotics, or motion control experience
- Strong PdM experience (IR, ultrasound, data analytics, oscilloscopes)
- Technical degree, apprenticeship, or recognized industrial electrical certification
Responsibilities
- Lead and diagnose complex equipment failures across electrical, automation, robotics, and control systems.
- Lead complex troubleshooting activities involving electrical, automation, robotics, and control systems.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
- Document findings, repairs, and improvement recommendations for long-term reliability.

Reliability Electrician V
7 am - 3 pm
The Reliability Electrician V is the highest-level electrical maintenance technician position within the organization. This role is responsible for expert-level troubleshooting, advanced automation and controls programming, and technical leadership in maintaining the plant's most complex electrical, robotics, automation, and control systems. The Reliability Electrician V ensures equipment operates at peak efficiency while maintaining the lowest reasonable operating cost. Additionally, this position serves as a technical mentor and subject matter expert, providing guidance to Reliability Electricians II-IV and supporting facility-wide reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Diagnose and resolve equipment failures with minimal downtime.
- Analyze system performance data to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Support production and maintenance teams during critical equipment failures.
