Electrician / Maintenance Specialist

Penn United Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our maintenance team. This person will be responsible for providing top quality electrical maintenance service for our employee-owned manufacturing company.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Electrician / Maintenance Specialist:

• Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, lighting, and wiring in all company buildings
• Install sub panels, bend/run conduit, pull wire, and terminate
• Install/repair electrical components in machinery
• Ensure all routine and scheduled work on electrical equipment is completed on time and documented
• Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner according to OSHA standards

Qualifications

Qualifications for the Electrician / Maintenance Specialist:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 7-10 years industrial electrician experience with a background in industrial/electrical wiring
• Prior experience working with 480v three-phase wiring
• Must be familiar with using equipment such as a multimeter and a Megger insulation tester
• Electronics background is a plus
• Thorough knowledge of methods, tools, practices & safety measures (NEC codes) related to electrical work
• Technical training related to industrial electricity strongly preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to drive a company vehicle
