Pilgrim's in Louisiana is hiring a Maintenance Electrician (Hourly) to troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems across the plant, with a focus on preventive maintenance and new control implementations. Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Electrical experience required; minimum of 3-5 years industrial electrical experience preferred; Additional electrical certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems; read and interpret drawings/schematics; basic measurements; strong troubleshooting skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical systems throughout the plant
• Maintain electrical equipment through preventive maintenance procedures
• Assist in implementing new control systems
• Research and develop improved electrical controls and processes
• Track recurring electrical issues and develop corrective solutions
• Identify equipment weaknesses related to electrical systems and recommend improvements
• Understand technical functionality of electrical equipment and train operators/technicians on operation and troubleshooting
• Support maintenance personnel to ensure efficient production operations
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor

What You’ll Need:

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Experience: Electrical experience required; minimum of 3-5 years industrial electrical experience preferred; Additional electrical certifications (technical college or manufacturing certifications) preferred
• Skills: Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems; General math skills required to perform maintenance duties; Ability to read and interpret documents, drawings, schematics; Basic knowledge of standard and metric measurements; Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends as needed; Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physical requirements: Ability to work in extreme Cold/Hot temperatures, ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day and lift 50 bs or more.
