Job summary

Albaugh LLC is seeking an experienced Electrician to install, maintain, modify, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment across the facility. Reporting to the Controls Engineer Supervisor, you will work on hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, and electrical systems, including wiring, control logic, and safety protocols.

Welding and record-keeping are required. The role demands a high school diploma or GED, technical electrical certification, and at least 3 years in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, maintain, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, and mechanical equipment/control systems.
  • Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical/electronic equipment, instruments, control systems, motor controls, lighting & circuits.
  • Troubleshoot using manuals, schematics, drawings and personnel input.
  • Welding for repair and fabrication.
  • Prepare and maintain repair/testing records and preventive maintenance logs.
  • Repair, replace, and clean equipment and components.
  • Assist in training maintenance staff on installation and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot operating errors and determine corrective actions.
  • Interpret National Electrical Codes; size wiring and wireways for installations.
  • Interpret NFPA 70E and PPE requirements.
  • Understand PLC ladder logic and field wiring (Allen Bradley, ABB).
  • Understand VFD programming/operation (Allen Bradley, Yaskawa, Telemechanique, Pumpsmart, ABB).

Position Overview

Primary responsibility is to install, maintain, modify, and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical equipment throughout the entire facility.

Reporting to the Controls Engineer Supervisor, the Electrician will:

  • Construct, test, maintain, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, and mechanical equipment/control systems.
  • Construct, test, maintain, and repair electrical/electronic equipment, instruments, control systems, motor controls, lighting, and branch circuits.
  • Consult manuals, schematics, drawings, and operating personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and to determine optimum equipment functioning.
  • Welding for repair and fabrication.
  • Prepare and maintain records detailing tests, repairs, requests, and preventive maintenance.
  • Repair, replace, and clean equipment and components.
  • Assist with training on proper installation and troubleshooting techniques for maintenance staff.
  • Troubleshooting. Determine causes of operating errors and course of action to reach resolution.
  • Understand/Interpret National Electrical Codes. Ability to size wiring and wireways for new installations or modification of existing installations.
  • Understand/Interpret NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace and PPE requirements.
  • Understand/Interpret PLC ladder logic and field wiring (Allen Bradley, ABB).
  • Understand programming and operation of variable frequency drives (Allen Bradley, Yaskawa, Telemechanique, Pumpsmart, and ABB).
