Job summary

Textron Inc. is seeking an Electrician Maint A for first shift at the Fort Worth facility. You will layout, test and maintain electrical fixtures, controls, and equipment across the plant’s electrical system, including light, power and communications.

You read blueprints and schematics to install or repair equipment, work on construction projects, and perform tests for continuity and proper connections using standard tools and test equipment. ITAR compliance applies; US persons only.

Qualifications

• 3+ years electrician experience in construction or industrial settings.
• ITAR requires US person status for access to export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Layout, test and maintain electrical fixtures, controls, and equipment across the plant’s electrical system, including light, power and communications.
• Plan installations or repairs from blueprints, schematic drawings, sketches or verbal instructions and perform necessary operations.
• Carry out electrical work on construction projects in the plant, running messenger wiring and related tasks.
• Work on high-tension lines and more complex circuits, testing continuity and proper connections with appropriate test equipment.

Description

Job Description:

• Layout, test and maintain electrical fixtures, controls, and equipment in use in any part of the facilities electrical system including light, power and communications systems.

• Plans proposed installations or repairs working from blueprints, schematic drawings, sketches or verbal instructions and performs necessary operations in installing and maintaining such equipment.

• Performs necessary electrical work connected with construction projects in the plant, running messenger wiring, etc.

• May work on high tension lines and the more complicated circuits, and tests same for continuity and proper connections using appropriate test equipment.

Tools & Equipment Used

• Hand tools, soldering iron, blowtorch, drill presses, pipe bender, ladder, scaffold measuring instruments, gauges and meters of various types.

Qualifications

Experience & Other Requirements:

• Three (3) years’ experience as an electrician on construction or industrial work.
