SPATCO is seeking an energetic Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to read blueprints and electrical systems, and have experience with various hand and power tools, such as conduit benders, to run and protect wiring. Use of testing equipment like ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers to troubleshoot and ensure proper functioning is required.

Essential Functions:

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry using hand and power tools.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems or components with appropriate testing equipment.
  • Use of ohm meter, volt meter, amp probe, and megger is required.
  • Install conduits, pull wire, and make final connections to circuit breakers.
  • Inspect electrical systems and components for safety compliance and proper operation.
  • Advise management and customers on hazards and safety status of electrical systems.
  • Assist estimators with material take-offs, cost estimates, and labor allowances.

Experience, Competencies, and Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 7 years of electrician experience, with at least 5 years in commercial work.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening.
  • Minimum 1 year of Journeyman Electrician experience.
  • Knowledge of electrician standards and codes.
  • Ability to work overtime and be on call as needed.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 75–100 lbs when necessary.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Efficiently work under time constraints and collaborate well with others.
  • Follow all company procedures and maintain a clean company vehicle.
