Job summary

CBRE is seeking a skilled Electrician to support a leading pharmaceutical client in Indianapolis. This Monday–Friday role includes an on-call rotation and focuses on maintaining critical electrical and mechanical systems across highly regulated facilities.

You will inspect, repair, and install equipment, wire and configure VFDs, run conduit, test circuits, and ensure GMP/GLP compliance, safety, and operational continuity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or trade school diploma with 3–4 years of job-related experience.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
• Valid Driver's license required.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance; perform new installations of equipment.
• Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical systems including valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores and pipes.
• Wire and connect fan motors, set up and program VFDs for motor control, and install electrical raceways through conduit bending and wire pulling operations.
• Execute electrical installations including fan motor wiring, VFD setup and troubleshooting, and conduit fabrication and wire pulls in accordance with electrical codes and project specifications.
• Operate electrical test equipment including volt/ohm meters, amp probes, power analyzers, and insulation testers while documenting results.
• Maintain and repair electrical and electronic controls on HVAC equipment, variable speed controllers, lighting systems, and process equipment.
• Complete all regulatory training prior to conducting work; document maintenance activities; manage ITP to ensure compliance.

What You’ll Do

Perform all work utilizing the appropriate environmental regulations and policies. Complete appropriate documentation associated with maintenance activities. Manage individual ITP to ensure compliance.

What You’ll Need

• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
