Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician with hands-on experience across CNC machines, robots and conveyors. You will troubleshoot electrical controls, maintain equipment uptime, and ensure adherence to LOTO and safety standards on site.

The role requires experience with FANUC/SIEMENS controllers and PLCs, plus a background in electronics/instrumentation. You will support TPM initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on maintenance experience with CNC machines, robots, conveyors and related equipment.
  • Experience with electrical control systems and troubleshooting FANUC/Siemens hardware.
  • Knowledge of LOTO and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to restore uptime.
  • Maintain shop organization and 5S standards.
  • Document maintenance history and generate reports.
  • Coordinate with TPM teams to improve quality, safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and PPE requirements.

Conforms to applicable codes and standards to maintain, install, and operate electrical systems. Leads and coordinates others acting as a formal resource for team members with less experience. Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks. Performs other duties as required to meet business goals. Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints Schedule maintenance activities around production requirements Solve problems and improve processes Actively identify issues and implement solutions Teamwork Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams. Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements. Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Significant work experience and in‑depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.

Diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation with 8 to 12 years of Experience

Responsibilities
  • Should have hands on Maintenance experience of all equipment such as CNC Machines, Robots, SPMs , Washing machine, Conveyors, Nut runners, etc.
  • Should have hands on experience of FANUC, SIEMENS controllers.
  • Should have hands on experience of Siemens, Mitsubishi, B&R PLC.
  • Ensure Adherence to LOTO rules, Safety Rules, PPE's & norms as per the requirement.
  • Maintain 5S Score in machine shop & Plant Engg. Dept.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety & discipline norms.
  • Handle day-to-day maintenance activities & issues in Machine shop area & able to work in all 3 shifts.
  • Ensure to update shop breakdown history & analysis.
  • Resolve daily Machine, Equipment related breakdown issues.
  • Preparation & keeping of various maintenance reports.
  • Execute EM \ PD \ CM & Update in Cummins MAXIMO System
  • Undertake projects related for Improving Maint. KPIs.
  • Maintain & Improve Housekeeping standards with discipline of the work force.
  • LOTO, Risk assessments, work permits & Safety practices implementation in Machine Shop.
  • Maintaining the Uptime/ MTBF/MTTR of all critical equipment.
  • Should be Familiar with Hydraulic, Pneumatic systems
