Job Summary

Plan, lay-out, install, test, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment, and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision. Ensure all necessary licenses are obtained for the jurisdiction of work.

  • Produce high-quality work safely and productively at all times.
  • Provide feedback to ensure availability of materials, tools, equipment, and information.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement and be willing to learn from others.
  • Share knowledge and teach others.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in related trade mathematics.
  • Inspect subordinate work for accuracy and compliance, explain deficiencies, and take corrective actions.
  • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transportation, material storage, and time.
  • Lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years (Level I), 4 years (Level II), 5 years (Level III), and 6+ years (Senior) experience in industrial/commercial construction with an in-depth understanding of the electrician trade.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, safety, and quality standards; effectively utilize trade tools and equipment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Work up to 12 hours doing physical work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
  • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
  • Lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Use hands frequently to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Move in confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.

Safety-Sensitive tasks include those that could affect safety and health, such as operating machinery, handling hazardous materials, or maintaining equipment.
