Position Summary

Responsible for reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including location, quantities, and sizes of materials required. Identify all tools needed for tasks and assess safety risks, implementing precautions to eliminate hazards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using appropriate tools.
• Install control and distribution devices such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, securing them properly.
• Test circuit continuity to ensure electrical safety and compatibility using testing instruments.
• Monitor the functioning of installed systems to identify hazards and determine necessary adjustments or replacements.
• Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• Ability to fabricate and install various conduit types including rigid, aluminum, E.M.T., plastic-bond, and P.V.C.
• Proficiency with mechanical and hydraulic benders and conduit supports.
• Experience in wire and cable installation by hand, machine, and in cable trays.

Candidates must be capable of performing physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and feeling, with or without reasonable accommodations.
