Position Summary
Plan, layout, install, test, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment, and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Interpret drawings, sketches, software, and plans to determine the best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations.
- Install control and distribution apparatus and secure in place.
- Test and start up systems; check circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and safety.
- Observe functioning of installed equipment to identify hazards and determine need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment as required.
- Work with high and low voltage systems.
- Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.
- Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power tools, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.
- Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed for tasks.
- Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance with plans and specifications; identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge and skills relevant to the position.
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions; effective communication skills.
- Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand, power, layout, and measurement tools.
Requirements
- Ability to move about a construction/industrial site constantly; stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Work in outdoor conditions, exposed to weather changes.
- Work irregular hours, including weekends, overtime, and holidays.
- Use ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, scaffolds; climb and maintain balance on various structures.
- Work in confined, cluttered, and uneven environments.
- Complete tasks in noisy and dusty environments.
- Lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
- Possess required tools; may require U.S. Driver License.
- Observe safety and project rules; perform other duties as assigned.
- Pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing; be medically fit for duty.
