Job Opening: Journeyman Electrician

OmniOn Power is currently seeking a journeyman electrician for the Northeast region. Preferred locations include Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, New York, or New Hampshire.

Role Responsibilities

1. Install electrical frameworks and detect and correct faults in existing systems.
2. Carry standard equipment and parts at all times.
3. Perform inspections, assessments, and collaborate with customers to identify issues.
4. Execute installation and restoration work on electrical frameworks.
5. Communicate effectively with customers and perform inspections to diagnose and address issues.
6. Work independently with minimal supervision.
7. Apply critical thinking across all facets of electrical work.
8. Mentor apprentices and pursue continuous learning.
9. Select appropriate actions considering project constraints.
10. Install and maintain wires, plugs, panelboards, switchgear, and switchboards.
11. Set up and maintain electrical machinery.
12. Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock.
13. Log time and resources for cost calculations.
14. Adhere to safety regulations.
15. Act as the company qualifier for electrical contractor licenses in multiple states.
16. Install and service industrial equipment, including DC power systems.
17. Supervise teams installing or servicing industrial equipment.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Legal Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of relevant apprenticeship
• Valid state journeyman electrician license
• Four years of experience as a journeyman electrician
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Ability to work independently
• Strong customer service and organizational skills
• Experience in field engineering, telco, data centers, or critical power facilities
