Job summary

Equity Staffing Group in Des Plaines, IL is seeking an experienced electrical installer to lead residential solar installations and related electrical work. You will upgrade main panels (MPU) and troubleshoot complex electrical issues while ensuring NEC and local code compliance.

Commissioned training includes paid 2.5-day Foundation Training plus leadership development and performance incentives (Nike/Carhartt gear) as part of the program.

Qualifications

• Electrical installation/repair experience (wiring up to 600 VDC / 480 VAC).
• Active Journeyman License or Electrician Certification per state requirements.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.

Job description

• Location: Des Plaines, IL & surrounding territory (site-reporting model)
• Pay Rate: $42/hour
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (Open availability required based on daily project needs; occasional weekend work)

What You’ll Do

• Lead residential solar array, electrical system, and solar battery installations.
• Safely execute Main Panel Upgrades (MPU) and troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC and local building codes.

Requirements

• Electrical installation/repair experience (wiring up to 600 VDC / 480 VAC).
• Active Journeyman License, Electrician Certification, or equivalent per state requirements.
• Valid Driver’s License (21+ years old) and clean driving record.
