Responsibilities

• Safely complete Main Panel Upgrades (MPUs) and related service work.

Location: Des Plaines, IL (serving projects within approximately 70-90 miles of the area)

Compensation: $32-$53/hour (based on experience, licensing, and qualifications)

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-oriented, and experienced in residential electrical installations and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation of electrical systems that connect renewable energy equipment to residential utility power systems
• Ensure all work complies with current NEC requirements and local electrical codes
• Perform battery storage installations and electrical upgrades
• Troubleshoot system issues and resolve electrical concerns
• Safely complete Main Panel Upgrades (MPUs) and related service work
• Support homeowners with system repairs, upgrades, and maintenance needs
• Coordinate with inspectors and local authorities during project inspections
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Electrical Contractor License, Journeyman License, Supervising Electrician License, Master Electrician License, or equivalent state-recognized certification
• Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair
• Experience working with wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC
• Knowledge of residential electrical services and distribution panels preferred
• Strong understanding of NEC requirements and safe electrical practices
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) screening
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
• Full-time position with open scheduling availability required
• Start and end times vary based on project needs
• Weekend work may be required as business needs dictate
• Employees report directly to assigned job sites
• Projects are generally located within a 70-90 mile service area
