Skills/Qualifications:

• Identify wire colors and other items accurately
• Read blueprints, drawings, and schematics
• Interpret maps, manuals, and work site instructions
• Bend conduit by hand with hand benders
• Use power tools safely
• Operate equipment such as trenchers, lift trucks, aerial lifts
• Work from mechanical lifts (electric or gas)
• Dig trenches manually or with power equipment
• Follow safety procedures outlined in the Safety Handbook
• Operate two-handed tools as required
• Assist with energized circuits following Safety Policy Manual
• Supervise electrical helpers safely and effectively

Responsibilities:

• Supervise Electrician Helper as directed
• Install conduit, wiring, assemblies, panels, fixtures, and devices per layout
• Minimize material waste
• Ensure quality and correct installation on the first attempt
• Follow diagrams and blueprints for concealed wiring
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install conduit with appropriate tools
• Pull and splice wires, connect to fixtures and equipment
• Test circuits for safety and compatibility
• Monitor system functions and address hazards
• Repair faulty equipment if needed
• Complete paperwork accurately
• Follow safety regulations and demonstrate tool knowledge
• Coordinate with other trades and gather materials/tools
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical circuits and feeders

Physical Functions:

• Good hearing and vision (corrected if necessary)
• Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, climb, lift up to 75 lbs, and perform overhead work
• Prolonged standing and movement on foot
• Climb ladders and perform repetitive arm and hand movements
