Job summary

Vertiv is hiring an Electrician in Pelzer, SC to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will read schematics, inspect for hazards, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of industrial electrician experience, a high school diploma or GED, and NEC safety knowledge. A SC electrician license or ability to obtain one is preferred. OT flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• SC licensed electrician or ability to obtain license preferred.
• 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrician experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC codes and electrical safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures per codes and standards.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to complete work accurately.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with safety codes.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility electrical systems to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support operational efficiency.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
• Document maintenance, repair activities, and parts usage in maintenance management systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending upgrades to electrical systems or processes.
