Job summary

Hutco, Inc. in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a 1st class Electrician to install, troubleshoot and repair shipboard cables, lighting and electronic equipment. You will contribute to ship power systems and work from marine blueprints and schematics.

The role requires 4+ years in electrical trades (marine preferred), a high school diploma, and the ability to work any shift. Drug screen and background check are required; per diem eligibility applies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or marine fields.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of shipboard experience in sonar, radar, power, internal communication, navigation.
• Ability to read marine blueprints.
• Wiring hookup and fiber optics experience.
• Able to work any shift.
• Able to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Layout, install, and repair shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment.
• Work with ship power systems using a range of hand tools, test equipment, and schematics.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to guide installation and troubleshooting.

Position: 1st class Electrician

Job Location: Pascagoula, MS

Hutco Branch: Moss Point, MS

Rate of Pay: $42.00 per hour and $147.00 per-diem for those who qualify.

Description:

Electricians are responsible for the layout, installation, and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment, as well as the ships power. Electricians utilize an assortment of hand and power tools, a variety of test equipment along with a working knowledge of blue prints, drawings, and schematics.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience in the commercial, industrial of marine electrical field
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have 1 year of shipboard experience in sonar, radar, power, internal communication, navigation, etc.
• Must be able to read marine blue prints
• Must be able to work from standard and metric specifications
• Must have wiring hook up and fiber optics experience.
• Must be able to work any shift.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen (HFT) and background check.
