The position demands six years as an Electrician with a Journeyman license, plus three-plus years of supervising experience.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician License; six years as an Electrician.
  • Three (3+) years of supervising experience and managing conflict resolution.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and communicate instructions; verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to learn additional programs quickly.
  • Eight (8) years’ experience as an electrician (preferred) in a commercial setting.

Responsibilities

  • Independently troubleshoot controls and power electrical systems.
  • Oversee removal and replacement of motors, starters, relays, fuses, and primary control components.
  • Supervise and troubleshoot primary electronic systems using ladder logic, diagrams, and schematics.

Job Description

The Electrician III will supervise and perform advanced -level electrical duties to include installation, preventative maintenance, and code compliance for a specific client(s). This position certifies compliance with Federal, State and Local laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently troubleshoot controls and power electrical systems
  • Oversee the removal and replacement of motors, starters, relays, limit switches, fuses, and primary control components
  • Supervise and troubleshoot primary electronic systems using high-level ladder logic, diagrams, and schematics
  • Ability to make new installation wiring hook‑ups and upgrade present equipment
  • Ability to assemble, inspect, adjust, repair, and/or replace faulty parts and wiring on all types of electronic and electrical devices
  • Support at a high-level mechanical and electrical repair
  • Perform high-level mechanical operations, repair, and maintenance to building systems to include automatic transfer switches, UPS/battery storage, emergency generators, and photovoltaic systems
  • Interpret and understand Federal, State, and local code ordinances
  • Must be able to work varying shifts including, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to supervise a team and handle conflict resolution.
Qualifications
  • Journeyman Electrician License Six (6) years of experience as an Electrician and/or a combination of education and experience
  • Three (3+) years of supervising experience and managing conflict resolution
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and communicate instructions Ability to communication both verbally and in writing Must be able to communicate effectively Basic computer skills such as internet, email, electronic manual, etc
  • Ability to learn additional programs quickly
  • Preferred Qualifications: Eight (8) years’ experience as an electrician Prior work experience in a commercial setting
Physical Requirements

Heavy Work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and field activity.
  • Walking - The person in this position needs to frequently move about the jobsite.
  • Sometimes operates a computer or tablet and other office machinery, such as a calculator and phone.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and external stakeholders regarding a variety of topics related to office and field administration.
  • Constantly reads written communications and views mail submissions. Will also need to read blueprints and take/verify field measurements.
  • Climbing – Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps at various heights.
  • Balancing – Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling and to walk, stand or crouch.
  • Stooping – Bending the body downward and forward by the spine at the waist.
  • Reaching – Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction for various lengths of time.
  • Grasping – Needs to apply pressure to an object with fingers and palm regularly.
  • Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate.
  • Occasionally exposed to high and low temperatures.
  • Frequently exposed to noisy environment and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
Education

Journeyman Electrician License Six (6) years of experience as an Electrician and/or a combination of education and experience.
