Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking an Electrician II to perform specialized electrical trades across installation, maintenance, and repair of power and lighting systems. Some work may occur at Site 300 in Tracy, CA.

Full-time on-site presence is required due to the nature of the work. Responsibilities include laying out electrical devices, testing systems, documenting maintenance, and providing excellent customer service to clients and team members.

Qualifications

• DOE Q-level clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• California General Electrician License and Class C Driver's License required.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and document results.
• Willingness to work scheduled and emergency overtime.
• Strong safety awareness and PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, install, and wire electrical devices and distribution equipment per codes.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning systems using test equipment.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and PPE usage.
• Document maintenance tasks and prepare reports for projects.
• Provide timely customer service to clients and team members.
• Complete maintenance requests and work orders; perform other duties.
