The Electrician II position is a skilled journeyman-level role responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a wide range of city-owned facilities. This role performs corrective and preventive electrical maintenance, responds to service requests, troubleshoots issues, and ensures safe and compliant work practices. The Electrician II uses the City's computerized work order system (Asset Essentials) to receive, document, and close out work orders. Work often involves coordination with other trades, contractors, supervisors, and building occupants. Safety and communication are key, as this role requires strict adherence to OSHA standards, including lockout/tagout procedures, and frequent use of a bucket truck for elevated work.

Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with six months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency.
