Springfield Technical Community College in Springfield, MA seeks an Electrician II to maintain and repair campus electrical systems. The role requires diagnosing, testing, installing, and servicing electrical equipment to ensure safe operations on a busy urban campus.
The successful candidate will have at least 7 years as a licensed journeyman or master electrician in a commercial environment, with strong knowledge of codes, safety practices, and accurate record-keeping.
The basic purpose of this work is to ensure the safe and adequate functioning of electrical systems and equipment on an extremely busy campus. Must be able to multi task and respond promptly to urgent situations. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Will test, repair, install and/or maintain various types of electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoots electrical and related equipment. Maintains adequate inventory of equipment and materials. Inspects the work of outside contractors; determines materials and/or equipment necessary for a job and on-the-job procedure changes. Performs high volume of related work as required.
Applicant must have a minimum of 7 years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience as a licensed journeyman or master electrician. Experience must be in a Commercial environment.
