Job summary

Johnson Controls – Silent-Aire division seeks an experienced electrical technician to install switchgear, rough and finished wiring, and control systems for data center equipment. You will install components per standards, test equipment, and mentor apprentices while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of repair techniques.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and the ability to read schematics; candidates must lift heavy objects and work in varied environments. Shift details apply.

Shift 2: Monday - Thursday: 2:00 pm - 12:30 am

Specific Accountabilities:

• Installation of switchgear

• Rough and finish wiring and control systems

• Installs system components and wiring in compliance with the applicable standards

• Installs, troubleshoots, andmaintainselectrical control circuits for motors and control devices for various electrical devices

• Test repaired equipment for proper performance

• Instruct and coach apprentices

• Maintaina working knowledge of changes in technology,complianceand repair techniques

• Other assigned work asrequired

• Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.

• Noise levels can fluctuate from quiet to loud.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma,GEDor equivalent

• Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred

• Appropriate credentialsand certifications

• Ability to work independently in a busy environment

• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

• Able to work well under pressure

• Strong attention to detail

• Able to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionallyat all times
