Job summary

State of California is seeking an Electrician II within the Facilities Management Division to perform QA/QC on building electrical systems and oversee day-to-day maintenance in statewide facilities. The role requires a Journeyman Electrician license, willingness to travel, and compliance with DMV Pull Notice, drug screening and medical clearance procedures. In-office work location in Sacramento with a 7:00 a.m.

– 3:30 p.m. shift.

Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Building Trades (SBT), the Electrician II in the Facilities Management Division (FMD), Central Services provides quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) for the day to day operation, maintenance and repair of building electrical systems of State Owned and occupied buildings utilizing Maximo, Microsoft Office and Electrical tools in accordance with FMD guidelines and manuals.

This position requires participation in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Employer Pull Notice Program.

This position may require travel.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment. The Department of General Services does not participate in E-Verify for employment authorization purposes.
