Job summary

Spartan Emergency Response unit of REV Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrician to assemble electrical harnesses, panels, and components for emergency response vehicles.

You will program lighting from specs, troubleshoot 12V DC and 110V AC systems, and verify products meet performance standards. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years automotive electrical experience in manufacturing, read engineering drawings, and can use tape measures and standard tools.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1–2 years of automotive electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and layouts with written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
• Ability to use common hand tools and power tools such as drills and screw guns.
• Must be able to read, write and perform mathematical computations.
• Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Successful completion of drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Assemble under dash harnesses, switch panels, circuit boards and electrical components.
• Program the lights from engineering specs.
• Troubleshoot 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry.
• Test products to ensure performance to specifications.
• Read specs to ensure trucks are built per spec.
• Perform functionality checks on airhorns, sirens, light packages and related hardware.
• Fix quality issues.

What a day in the life of an Electrician at REV looks like:

• Assemble Under dash harnesses, switch panels, circuit boards, and a variety of different electrical components
• Programming the lights from engineering specs
• Troubleshoot 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry
• Test products to ensure performance to specifications
• Reading specs to make sure the trucks are built per spec
• Perform functionality checks on airhorns, sirens, light packages, flash patterns, door locks Etc.
• Fix quality issues

Required Education, Skills, And Experience To Be Successful

• Preferred 1-2 years of automotive electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Preferred high school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layouts with written and verbal instructions
• Ability to understand both 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements
• Ability to use common hand tools and power tools such as drills, and screw guns
• Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
• Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Successful completion of the drug and background screening

Physical Demands Of This Role

• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding
• Ability to regularly lift and move 40 lbs. without assistance
• Ability to work with arms above head
• Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
• Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments
