The Electrician II position requires hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) to perform a wide variety of complex and specialized electrical repairs and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This would include experience working with power up to 600V, the ability to demonstrate an understanding of complex electrical AC/DC theory, the ability to follow electrical drawings and schematics, and the ability to apply this knowledge in the field to operate, inspect, maintain, and repair equipment and systems across the Central Passenger Terminal Complex (CPTC). The Electrician II responsibilities require applying standard trade practices and procedures consistent with the NEC to ensure quality work commensurate with that of a mid-level electrician skilled in working with electrical equipment and systems in a large industrial, institutional, or manufacturing facility. The Electrician II performs work under the direction of a senior electrician and reports directly to the supervisor. Work hours may vary at times depending on client need, extreme weather events, special project assignments, etc.
