Job summary

City of Atlanta Parks & Recreation is seeking an Electrician I to perform entry-level electrical maintenance, installation and troubleshooting in DPR facilities. This role supports senior electricians and may participate in an apprentice program.

Required: high school diploma or GED and three years of electrical experience; valid Georgia driver’s license. Duties include wiring, lighting upgrades, equipment servicing, and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years electrical experience in commercial/industrial/facilities ops.
• Valid Georgia driver's license required.
• Preferred: technical/vocational coursework in electricity or welding.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical log sheet and daily assignments.
• Maintain electrical systems including lighting, outlets, panels, wiring.
• Read electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Install, repair and service lighting fixtures and electrical equipment.
• Adhere to safety practices and wear PPE.
• Supervise and train other staff as needed.
