Job summary

Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC is hiring an Electrician I to install, inspect, and repair electrical systems in a USDA-inspected beef facility in Long Prairie, Minnesota. You will work with motors, control circuits, and automation, following strict safety and lockout/tagout procedures.

This role requires standing on ladders or platforms, extended hours with overtime, and a State Electrician License. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing training to support career

Qualifications

Must hold a State Electrician License.
Able to work in varying temperatures and at heights with PPE.
Willing to work extended hours including Saturdays with overtime.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect and repair electrical systems, equipment, or components according to codes and plans.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools.
Install or maintain electrical control systems and industrial automation equipment (e.g., PLCs).
Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits with ohmmeters/volts/ammeters.
Perform preventative maintenance and visual inspections of equipment.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install or repair wiring and fixtures.
Advise management on hazards of continued operation and potential improvements.
Train employees on safety and procedures.
