Job summary

Interface, Inc. is seeking an Electrician I at our LaGrange, GA facility. The role involves troubleshooting electrical systems, upgrading devices, and modernizing plant facilities.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and relevant industrial experience. You will read schematics, work with PLCs, drives, and HV equipment, and maintain safety and compliance daily. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, repairing equipment, procuring parts, and using CMMS to track maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical craft through schooling or in an industrial environment.
• Experience with troubleshooting, commissioning and decommissioning of equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Meet license requirements for powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to work independently and with others at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Understand, troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderately complex electrical/mechanical issues (PLCs, drives, motors, HVAC, power distribution).
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot and install equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical systems and some electronics.
• Estimate, procure parts, modify and install electrical equipment.
• Use testing equipment (multimeter, amprobe, megger) to analyze equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and operate within CMMS work orders.
• Train or assist other maintenance technicians as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and comply with OSHA and PPE standards.

Communicate with appropriate management and maintenance/productionassociates of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenanceactivities. This involves using the CMMS to complete, create, manage, and update work orders, and recordrelevant data about equipment and maintenance procedures.• Inspect and perform routine preventative maintenance as scheduled to ensure peak operating performanceand equipment reliability to minimize any downtime related to equipment failure.• Be familiar and aware of the maintenance role in emergency response situations that may requireassistance to departments or shutting down various utilities.• Drive company truck to various Interface locations as well as to supply companies.• When doing any overhead work, take proper safety precautions to prevent falling objects from hittingpersonnel/machinery.• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with all applicable environmental regulations,procedures, rules, and regulations including strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication,OSHA regulations, Personal Protective Equipment, and general plant safety rules.• Be aware of departmental Safety Data Sheets (SDS).• Be familiar with Interface’s Environmental & Quality policy.• Comply with all departmental and plant wide ISO requirements for 9001 and 14001 and complete training asneeded.• Awareness of departmental KPIs and how your job contributes to the company goals.• Understand and support Interface’s commitment to sustainability.• Perform other duties as assigned.Physical demands:• Lift up to 40 lbs.• Stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods of time.• Climb ladders and stairs.Work environment:• Non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.• Work areas include, but not limited to, electrical panels, power distribution switchgear, breaker panels, etc.• Requires the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), provided by the company.
