Leader Ambulance, a Terex Corporation company in Southern California, is seeking an Assembly Technician for manufacturing ambulances. You will assemble harnesses, cables, switch panels and electrical components while adhering to safety and 5S standards.

Candidates typically have 1–2 years in manufacturing, can read drawings and electrical schematics, and work with pneumatic and power tools. Competitive pay in California with benefits is offered.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble harnesses, cables, switch panels, circuit boards, and a variety of different electrical components
• Meet standards of safety and 5S
• Promote the use and applications of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools as part of the culture
• Meet standards of safety and 5S
• Be compliant with the rules of conduct and attendance per company policy
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

• 1- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools, drills, and screw guns
• Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform critical analysis is desired
• Ability to effectively present information in one–on–one and small group situations to other employees
• Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence
• Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices
• Ability to recognize the quality expected and be able to reproduce it

Physical Demands:

• The employee is regularly required to stand or walk; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 # pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Personal Protective Equipment Recommended and/or Required on Production Floor:

• Safety Glasses
• Earplugs
• Work gloves when needed

The pay scale for newly hired employees in this position at this location in California is between $19.02 - $23.29. This is based on meeting all of the requirements of the role. The base pay offered for the role may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are proud to offer competitive benefits in addition to competitive pay.
