Job summary

King’s Daughters is seeking an experienced Electrician to install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems across our Kentucky facilities. You will work with alarms, generators, motors, and lighting, ensuring safety standards and reliable operation.

The role requires reading drawings, updating as-built plans, and coordinating with other departments to support hospital operations. High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Electrician's license and a valid driver's license are

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, and test electrical systems and components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical controls, alarms, generators, motors, and lighting.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support facility operations.
  • Update and reference 'as built' drawings for ongoing projects.
  • Test and diagnose malfunctioning electrical and electronic components.
  • Assist maintenance staff and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsible for installing, inspecting, and testing electrical systems and components. Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical controls, alarm systems, generators, motors, and lighting. Installs conduit and wiring for power distribution, communication, and monitoring systems. Ensures compliance with safety standards and operational requirements. Coordinates with other departments to support facility operations.

Essential Functions
  • Installs electrical circuitry, wiring, conduit, and apparatus as required.
  • Connects and wires machines, equipment, and controllers to power supplies.
  • Plans and updates electrical work on “as built” drawings.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.
  • Diagnoses and repairs or replaces malfunctioning electrical and electronic components.
  • Replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components as needed.
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery and collaborates with maintenance staff for diagnosis.
  • Assists with maintenance activities and responsibilities as needed.
  • Acts as a security officer during regular working hours.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

No work experience required An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
