Signature Heating, Cooling and Plumbing seeks a diligent Electrician's Helper to assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial settings. You will interpret blueprints and schematics, follow safety codes, and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable operation and customer satisfaction.

The role requires physical stamina, clean driving record, and the ability to work in varying environments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in residential electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
• Ensure accuracy in installations and adherence to safety protocols.
• Clear and concise communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and conditions.
• Must pass background screen, drug test, and motor vehicle records check.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training in electrical systems.
• Relevant work experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Must be able to lift, lower, push, and pull objects of up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to continually stand, walk, climb, ascend/descend ladders, bend, stoop, crawl, and crouch, frequently in tight spaces, for extended periods of time, in indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Must be able to continually use hands/fingers to handle, feel, utilize tools, and operate machinery.
• Field environment including interior and exterior of customers' residential properties. May require exposure to weather conditions, dusts, and mists that may be present while working outdoors. Exposure to chemicals may occur. Use of personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety-footwear, goggles, gloves, shield, mask or respirator, and hardhats may be required.
• Must be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license and insurable driving history.
• Must pass background screen, drug test, and motor vehicle records check.

Responsibilities

• Safely install electrical systems, wiring, and equipment based on diagrams and blueprints, including outlets, switches, lighting, and circuits.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure safety and functionality of electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in a timely manner using appropriate tools.
• Adhere to local and national electrical codes and stay updated on industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members on project requirements and updates.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE to ensure a safe working environment.
