Job summary

SE&M in Raleigh, NC is seeking a skilled electrical supervisor to assist electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on diverse projects. You will lead a crew, plan daily activities, read blueprints, ensure safety, and coordinate with inspectors and customers.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, Journeyman license, 3+ years of experience with supervision, and strong NEC/OSHA knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct electricians, apprentices, and electrical helpers on assigned projects.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily work activities to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Assign tasks and monitor crew productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and project documents.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with NEC, local codes, and company standards.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to support project completion.
  • Inspect work to verify quality and compliance with project requirements.
  • Serve as the primary field contact between project management, contractors, customers, inspectors, and other trades.
  • Identify and resolve job site issues, conflicts, and technical challenges.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates, delays, and resource needs to management.
  • Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations, promoting a safe work environment.
  • Conduct job site safety meetings and ensure proper PPE use.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate electricians, apprentices, and helpers to support skill development.
  • Review and manage material usage, inventory, and procurement needs.
  • Perform electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work as required.

JOB SUMMARY

This position will assist electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform duties in various weather and job site conditions.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.

  • Coordinate project startup, commissioning, and turnover activities.
  • Respond to field emergencies and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support successful project execution.
