Descrizione del lavoro

Position Summary

We're hiring a licensed Electrician to maintain the low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution, emergency power, and life-safety electrical systems at a newly built, government facility. This role carries real operational weight — the facility requires rapid backup power restoration after any outage, around the clock — and you'll work alongside a team responsible for keeping a mission-critical campus continuously powered.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain all low- and medium-voltage electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, panelboards, distribution equipment, and manual/automatic transfer switches.
  • Respond to power outages and support emergency generator operations, with backup power required to be restored within strict, short time limits.
  • Track and record generator run hours (emergency, non-emergency, maintenance, and testing) and complete required monthly data entry into the Government's generator maintenance reporting system.
  • Perform quarterly inspections and annual load testing of UPS systems and batteries supporting life-safety equipment.
  • Repair and replace lighting fixtures and associated components facility-wide.
  • Maintain, test, and repair grounding systems, lightning protection systems, and cathodic/corrosion protection systems.
  • Complete and submit power outage reports within required timelines, and notify designated Government contacts immediately upon restoration.
  • Maintain contractor-side electrical infrastructure in full accordance with all applicable security and facility-protection requirements.
  • Document all work in the Government's designated work management system and support root-cause analysis on repeat electrical failures.
Required Qualifications
  • Current electrical license/certification recognized by the State of Nebraska (or a state Nebraska recognises by reciprocity).
  • Demonstrated experience with low- and medium-voltage distribution, emergency generators, transfer switches, and UPS systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Willingness to respond to after-hours emergency power events as required.

CNE-CMI JV LLC — Electrician — Facility Maintenance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a mission-critical or data-center facility environment.
  • Familiarity with cathodic protection and lightning protection system maintenance.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work is performed primarily inside a secure, controlled-access government facility, with some exposure to mechanical/electrical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work from ladders and lifts, and respond to after-hours emergency calls as required by the position. All personnel must comply with our safety program, including PPE, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, and confined space procedures as applicable to the role.
