Job summary

Applied Fluid Power is seeking an Electrical Technician to inspect products and apply expertise in mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assemblies. You will leverage hands-on experience to please customers and support the sales team.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience with 3-phase 480V systems, read schematics, and can work with engineers on component selection. Travel to customer locations may be required on rare occasions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade or technical schooling preferred or military schooling a plus.
• 5+ years of experience with 3 phase 480V systems with soft starts and VFDs.
• Must read schematics and work with engineers to pick components.
• Electrical panel layout and assembly experience required.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations occasionally.
• PLC experience and troubleshooting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visually verifies product compliance to customer and company specifications.
• Functionally verifies product performance to defined test criteria.
• Utilizes hand and power tools, electronic and pneumatic testing fixtures and devices.
• Complete department work assignments in a timely manner.
• Create rework instructions or redline documentation and communicate corrective action directions.
• Shift work assignment priorities when needed and as directed.
• Organize tools and maintain workstation cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Engineered Sales, an Applied Fluid Power subsidiary, is currently looking for an Electrical Technician to join our team. In this role you'll be inspecting product and using your knowledge and experience from working on Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Hydraulic, and/or Pneumatic assemblies. You'll leverage all that hands on experience in your background and put it to good use helping us to please our customers and gain new ones.

We'll look to you to lead the charge in this area as your work helps to support the industry's best sales team.
