Job Description
This position is located in Burkburnett, TX, and plays an integral role in operational activities that support the engineering and manufacturing process by providing skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of engineering and manufacturing, while maintaining all Quality and Safety measures.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on equipment and facility.
- Repair electrical/mechanical equipment in timely manner.
- Work with engineering on equipment improvements and projects.
- Design and install electrical control panels including VFD's, PLC's, and HMI's.
- Utilize safe work habits.
- Wear appropriate PPE.
- Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Factory environment with a large range in temperature changes.
- Standing up to 12 hours daily.
- Walking up to 12 hours daily.
- Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily.
- Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily.
- Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
- Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily.
- Travel less than 10%.
Education & Experience Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Journeyman license with industrial electronics knowledge required. Master licenses preferred.
- Must have background in mechanical and electrical repair with use of shop tools.
- Five years of verifiable work experience. 2-5 years of general industrial maintenance preferred.
- Ability to read and design electrical prints.
- Ability to obtain internal forklift license preferred.
- Ability to meet the shift requirements of the department, routinely scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
- Ability to work overtime and shift work as required.
- Ability to read and understand precision meters.
- Ability to use hand tools correctly and safely.
- Ability to adapt and be cross trained to learn all job duties as required.
- Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read drawings, instructions, or repair and assembly operations.
Technical Competencies
- AC and DC controls.
- Programmable controllers, VFD's, PLC's and HMI's.
- Knowledge of all types of electronic components.
