Job summary

Russells Technical Products Inc is seeking an Electrical Assembler to lay out and build switch boards and electrical panels per schematics, install panels on Environmental Test Chambers, and validate systems with test equipment.

You will read blueprints, work with hand and power tools, and troubleshoot electrical components while adhering to quality requirements; the role involves climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working around machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Description

Essential Functions
  1. Layout and build switch boards and electrical panels per schematics.
  2. Install panels on Environmental Test Chambers including wiring, bending and installation of conduit, wiring up sensors and switches.
  3. Use test equipment to validate electrical systems for conformity to manufacturing schematics and departmental quality requirements.
  4. Technical diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems.
  5. Temporary installation of Environmental Test Chambers for performance testing (connect and disconnect)

Hourly rate: $20 - $30 /hr based on experience.

Journeyman and Master Electricians encouraged to apply. Rates will be adjusted accordingly

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
  1. Minimum 1 years experience working with and assembling electrical panels
  2. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  3. Math proficiency.
  4. Experience using hand and power tools.
  5. Knowledge of and previous work experience with electrical assembly.
Preferred Education and Experience
  1. Previous experience as an Electrical Assembler in a similar industry.
  2. Experience working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
  3. High School Diploma or GED.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly exposed to moderately loud machinery, odors involved in the manufacturing process, vibration and extremes in temperature. The employee frequently works near and with machinery with moving mechanical parts, and may use power or other tools.

Climb on and around chambers.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Employee may occasionally need to work at heights of up to 20 feet.
