Alphahire in Dothan, AL is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician to install electrical infrastructure supporting HVAC controls and BAS across Gulf Coast projects. This field-based role emphasizes EMT and rigid conduit installation, wire pulling, device termination, and control-panel wiring.

You will read drawings, assist with startup and commissioning, travel within the Gulf Coast, and uphold OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial electrical installation experience.
• Strong hands-on experience bending and installing EMT and rigid conduit, especially 3/4-inch conduit.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and construction documents.
• Experience with wire pulling, device termination, control-panel wiring, and commercial electrical installations.

Responsibilities

• Install EMT, rigid conduit, and electrical raceways for HVAC controls and BAS systems.
• Bend and install 3/4-inch EMT and rigid conduit with accurate layouts and clean workmanship.
• Pull, route, and terminate wiring for control panels, controllers, sensors, actuators, and other field devices.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, control drawings, and project specifications.
• Assist with installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of HVAC control panels and BAS equipment.
• Work closely with Controls Technicians, Project Managers, mechanical contractors, and other trades.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and make field modifications when needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and an organized jobsite.
• Follow OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and jobsite procedures.
• Complete work safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Electrician to install the electrical infrastructure supporting HVAC Controls and Building Automation Systems (BAS) across commercial and institutional facilities throughout the Gulf Coast region.

This is a field-based position focused on EMT and rigid conduit installation, wire pulling, device termination, and control-panel installation. HVAC controls or BAS experience is not required. The right candidate will have strong commercial electrical skills and an interest in developing specialized expertise in controls, automation, and low-voltage systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Gulf Coast region.
• Willingness to learn HVAC controls, BAS technology, and building automation systems.

$60,000–$65,000 annual salary, based on experience
