Job summary

Novolex in Frankfort, IL is seeking an Electrician Associate II to perform planned electrical maintenance on thermoforming and extrusion equipment. The role includes troubleshooting automation systems, equipment setup, and PM tasks while maintaining safety and housekeeping in the production area.

Qualified candidates have a HS Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of automation/industrial electrical experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years automation technician experience within the manufacturing industry, or related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics; blue print reading; welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Previous electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilities.
• Previous mechanical experience with troubleshooting; knowledge of PLCs is preferred.
• Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively.
• Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned electrical maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming and extrusion process to ensure the integrity of electrical systems.
• Includes performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment; PM on automation equipment.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repair/maintain all equipment and machinery including trim presses, extruders, formers, crystallizers, dryers, conveyors, and grinders.
• Modifies new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.
• Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Responsible for ensuring housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy.
• Follows all Company established rules and policies.
• Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations.
• Perform Maintenance Connection day-by-day duties.
• Be able to work in all areas of production.
