Job summary

Novolex in Frankfort, IL is hiring an Electrician Associate II to perform planned electrical maintenance on thermoforming and extrusion equipment. The role includes troubleshooting automation systems and upgrading equipment for performance improvements, with shifts covering day, night, and 2-2-3 schedules.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of automation experience, strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, and owns their tools.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years automation technician experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Blueprint reading (mechanical/electrical) and welding/fabrication skills a plus.
• Electrical troubleshooting and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities expected.
• Must own tools and use them safely and effectively.
• Ability to work well in a team and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned electrical maintenance on all equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automation equipment and perform PM on automation lines.
• Diagnose and repair equipment including presses, extruders, formers, crystallizers, dryers, conveyors and grinders.
• Modify equipment for performance upgrades and improvements.
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely; maintain clean, safe work area.
• Adhere to safety rules and company policies; support production areas as needed.

Job Description

Electrician Associate II|Frankfort, IL|Now Hiring

Compensation:

• $up to $38.95 per hour - depending on experience

Available Shifts:

• 7am-7pm
• 7pm-7am
• 2-2-3 schedule

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs planned electrical maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming and extrusion process to ensure the integrity of electrical systems.
• Includes performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment. Also includes performing maintenance, set-up and PM on automation equipment.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repair/maintain all equipment and machinery including trim presses, extruders, formers, crystallizers, dryers, conveyors, and grinders.
• Modifies new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.
• Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Responsible for ensuring housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy.
• Follows all Company established rules and policies.
• Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations.
• Perform Maintenance Connection day-by-day duties.
• Be able to work in all areas of production.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 3 + years automation technician experience within the manufacturing industry, or related experience
• Must be knowledgeable in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blue print reading (mechanical/electrical), welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Previous electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilities
• Previous mechanical experience with troubleshooting capabilities; Knowledge of PLCs is preferred
• Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively
• Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential
• Flexibility to work overtime.
