Job summary

Ector County Independent School District MAINTENANCE SERVICES - ODESSA, Texas is seeking an Apprentice Electrician who will work under the Electrical Foreman to assist with installation, inspection and repair of district electrical systems and fixtures across campus sites.

The role requires readiness to read blueprints, follow the National Electrical Code, and perform duties with safety and teamwork. Immediate starting date; wage range posted from $18 to $25.12 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Be able to obtain an apprentice electrician license.
• Have a valid Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Learn to estimate materials, order and obtain material as required, and inform supervisor of needs and requirements to complete each job.
• Learn to lay out new or modified installations to conform to National Electrical Code. Read blueprints and diagrams for correct wiring of electrical installations.
• Learn to install all electrical conduits, pull boxes, and necessary systems using good workmanship and proper tools and equipment.
• Learn all functions in the electrical craft using proper procedures and safety equipment.

Education
