Job summary

Interstates is seeking an Apprentice Electrician for our Des Moines, IA area projects. You’ll work on wiring, conduit, and electrical systems across industrial settings, with travel up to 200 miles as needed. You’ll begin via our DOL-approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program and develop hands-on skills on job sites.

We emphasize safety, teamwork, and reliability, offering a clear path to licensure and growth within a nationwide electrical contractor serving clients across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Candidate interested in becoming licensed through our DOL approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
• Certificate or AS degree in electrical technology, electrical construction, instrumentation or similar or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and bend conduit using a tape measure and appropriate power/hand tools
• Install conductors in race way and cable tray using manual and power equipment
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects, such as wiring, conduit, and motors
• Perform housekeeping duties, as required
• Other duties as assigned by field leaders
