Interstates is hiring an Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Fort Dodge, IA. You will start within a structured DOL‑approved Electrical Apprenticeship, gaining field experience while supporting journeymen with conduit, wiring, and equipment installation.

Qualifications

• Education through a DOL approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
• Certificate or AS in electrical technology, electrical construction, instrumentation or equivalent preferred.
• Must be willing to relocate or travel within Fort Dodge IA area as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in measuring, cutting, and bending conduit using tape measures and tools.
• Install conductors in raceway and cable tray with manual and power equipment.
• Support electricians with lifting, positioning, and fastening wiring components.
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing fuses, sockets, bulbs, and switches.
• Load and transport materials and tools to job sites as directed by foremen.
