Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a maintenance-oriented professional to learn and service electrical and mechanical systems in our saw mill. You will assist in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role requires physical activity, adherence to safety policies, and the pursuit of Idaho journeyman licensure. Woodgrain offers stability and a path for lifetime careers within a growing company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Idaho apprentice electrical card is required.
• Formal electrical schooling is required.
• Basic electrical and mechanical skills are expected.
• Safety-minded and able to follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Learn electrical and mechanical systems of the saw mill.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
• Assist in repair of electrical and mechanical faults.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance, electrical and mechanical.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Walk and stand for long periods; bend, twist, kneel, stoop and squat.
• Ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
• Follow safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Meet Idaho journeyman licensure requirements.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Expectations and Performance Measures

• Learn electrical, and mechanical systems of the saw mill.
• Assist in trouble shooting electrical and mechanical issues.
• Assist in repair of electrical and mechanical faults.
• Preform inspections and preventative maintenance, both electrical and mechanical.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Walk and stand for long periods of time, bend, twist, kneel, stoop and squat.
• Ascend and descend stairs/ladders.
• Abide by all safety/environmental policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Lead Electrician, Lead Mechanic, and Maintenance Manager.
• Required to meet all State of Idaho Electricain requirments to attain journeyman licensure.
