Job summary

Westlake is seeking a maintenance Millwright in Canada to perform preventative maintenance and repair of plant utilities and machinery. You will troubleshoot equipment, program machinery and processes, and manage work orders in our CMMS system.

Responsibilities include wiring panels, reading ladder logic and electrical drawings, and upholding safety policies while maintaining accurate records of all work performed. Weekend/overtime availability is required for coverage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of all plant utilities, Troubleshoot and repair machinery/equipment as needed Program/ machinery and processes within the company.
• Support and work within the procedures of the maintenance management software systems to facilitate Preventative Maintenance activities, work order management, spare and replacement component purchasing.
• Wire new panels for revise new and existing machinery as needed
• Report on work performed and time spent to Maintenance Manager
• Programming of PLC’s
• Select, install and repair bussways, flexible and rigid conduit, cable trough, wire and communication cables
• Read, interpret and revise ladder logic, distribution, mechanical architectural, fluid power, alarm system, visual equipment and instrumentation drawings
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot high-intensity discharge, fluorescent and incandescent lighting, measure and report illumination levels and install and maintain emergency lighting systems
• Able to work according to company and industry safety policies and regulations
• Communicate effectively and professionally with all team members
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed in a CMMS
• All other relevant duties

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• 433A Millwright certificate an asset.
• 442A Electrician certificate an required.
• Basic electrical training and troubleshooting experience would be an asset
• PLC programming experience is an asset
• Prior diagnostic /troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred
• Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude
• Ability to work at heights
• Ability to lift up to 50 Lbs.
• Ability to work on weekends, other shifts and overtime

Wage $44.23 per hour
