Job summary

Shoals MPE is seeking a skilled Electrician to perform a broad range of electrical installations, maintenance, and repair work in residential, commercial, and industrial settings at our Florence, AL location.

The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of NEC and local codes. You will read blueprints, work with project teams, mentor apprentices, and maintain detailed records while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of electrical experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of NEC and local building codes.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Commitment to safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and local codes.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Mentor apprentice electricians as needed.
• Maintain records of work and materials used.
• Adhere to safety protocols and keep a clean, organized work space.
