Nickle Electrical Companies in Salisbury, MD is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. You will work from plans and specs, follow codes, and travel to Tri-State locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or GED.
  • Journeyman license in Delaware and Maryland or 4-year electrical apprenticeship.
  • Minimum 2 years electrical experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel to Tri-State projects.
  • Ability to bend pipe.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across varied sites.
  • Test systems using meters and oscilloscopes for safety and compatibility.
  • Inspect systems for hazards and code compliance; identify needed repairs.
  • Direct or train workers to install or repair electrical wiring and fixtures.
  • Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Maintain a safe workplace per OSHA requirements.
  • Prepare toolbox talks and contribute to project safety culture.
  • Complete jobs on schedule; support Foreman’s goals.
  • Instruct and mentor apprentices; share knowledge.
  • Maintain company-owned property; follow National Electrical Code.
  • Support merit shop philosophy and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Type: Full-Time

Join our team as a Journeyman Electrician, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. You’ll work from plans and specs, adhere to codes and standards, and support projects across multiple locations with occasional travel.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Test systems and circuits using meters and oscilloscopes to ensure safety and compatibility.
  • Inspect systems for hazards, defects, and compliance with codes; identify necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Direct or train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools; locate and correct issues.
  • Maintain a safe workplace, following safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Prepare toolbox talks and contribute to project safety culture.
  • Complete jobs professionally and on schedule; support Foreman’s project goals.
  • Instruct and mentor apprentices; share knowledge and best practices.
  • Maintain company-owned property; uphold National Electrical Code standards.
