Job Summary

The Electrician II supports the maintenance department, leveraging field and classroom experience in Industrial Electrical or Instrumentation Electrical Crafts. Requires at least two years of formal training plus on‑job experience. The candidate must be able to perform duties of other department employees as needed, and must adhere to all department and plant rules, policies, and procedures.

Essential Duties
  • Maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical equipment and controls on a day‑to‑day basis.
  • Analyze equipment failures and recommend repair steps independently, demonstrating electrical insight.
  • Perform critical electrical checks safely, demonstrating craft knowledge.
  • Learn new systems and support ongoing electrical maintenance across all systems.
  • Comprehend PLCs, RSLogics, HMI–Wonderware, Industrial Communications (Modbus, Profibus, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Ethernet), Simulink and Synchlink.
  • Operate AC, DC, and Servo Drives from Allen Bradley, Siemens, Eurotherm, Pacific Scientific.
  • Identify electrical hazards, select appropriate PPE based on energy assessment.
  • Assist with line and auto‑folding equipment breakdowns.
  • Participate in manufacturing start‑ups and shut‑downs.
  • Recognize electrical repair parts, locate, requisition, and install them as required.
  • Complete work orders assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace, mitigating hazards and reporting uncontrolled hazards.
  • Enter work order status, time worked, and repair parts information into the CMMS system.
  • Ensure an orderly, clean, and safe working area.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial electrical experience.

  • Wears required PPE/Arc Flash safety items for each job and follows plant safety procedures for electrical work.
  • Has knowledge of the production process.
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Safely operates forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
  • Uses a computer and enters information into CMMS.
  • Clear knowledge of plant electrical distribution and lighting systems.
  • Familiar with the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E.
  • Identifies electrical hazards and determines correct PPE requirements.
  • Understands electrical diagrams and schematics.

Compensation

Base hourly rate: $50.27. Individual compensation offers are based on geographic location, relevant experience, education, and qualifications.
