Job summary

West Fraser in Whitehouse, FL is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our maintenance team. The role focuses on keeping the manufacturing facility's electrical systems running safely and efficiently, with emphasis on PLCs, drives, and power distribution.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ethernet/Fiber networks, and I&E drawings, and a track record of safe, reliable work on challenging production equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to read and understand drawings and printed instructions.
• Self-starter who can work safely under high pressure.
• Test electrical systems and circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards, defects, or repairs.
• Troubleshoot, program and upgrade PLCs.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain parts.
• Understand instrumentation loop diagrams, E&I drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Program AC and DC variable speed drives.
• Update power distribution MCC and switchgear.
• Install electrical equipment.

Description

Looking for an experienced Electrician to join our team, who is a team player. Pay range $29.08 to $33.51, dependent on skills/experience level. Ideal candidate will have experience with and be proficient with:

• Allen Bradley Communications—Device net & Ethernet
• Scanning and Optimization systems within the Lumber Business (Baxley, USNR)
• Process Network Communication Systems and Components—Ethernet & Fiber Optic

Required skills:

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Able to read and understand drawings and printed instructions
• Must be a self-starter who can work safely under high pressure situations
• Test electrical systems and circuits in electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment or components to identify hazards, defects or repair

• Work with vendors to identify needed parts and recommend to Supervisor
